Publications

Onondaga Historical Association has a very active publishing department, including our regular magazine (History Highlights), contributing articles for local newspapers, magazines, and online publications. We also publish works from hard-cover coffee table books to soft cover educational texts.

History Highlights is published twice a year by OHA and is filled with articles relating to local history. This full-color magazine is produced entirely by OHA staff members. It is a benefit of membership to OHA and can also be purchased at our Gift Gallery Museum Stores as well as various other retailers throughout Central New York.

The Sunday edition of the Post-Standard Newspaper includes our regular article on page two titled “This Week in History.” OHA also anchors the back of every issue of the Post-Standard’s (Syracuse Media Group’s) The Good Life: Central New York magazine with a full page article titled “History by OHA.” We also occasionally write feature articles for the The Good Life. OHA regularly contributes to Syracuse.com’s Living Section, providing stories each week on a range of topics.

Every month, OHA writes a feature article for the Central New York Business Journal on an interesting industry related topic from our history.
