Hidden in Plain Sight: Images by Bruce Harvey

Onondaga Historical Association is pleased to welcome you to a new traveling exhibit of historic photography, “Hidden in Plain Sight.” The exhibit features photographs taken by Syracuse native and architectural historian Bruce Harvey of at risk historic sites throughout New York State that are in danger of being lost to time.  The original exhibit was curated by Frances Gubler and the Preservation League of NYS and sponsored by M&T Bank, Mesick, Cohen, Wilson, Baker Architects (Albany).

In addition to the exhibit’s original subject matter, OHA Curator of History Robert Searing selected three additional images taken by Dr. Harvey of the Hotel Syracuse renovation project to round out the collection with some beautiful local subject matter.  The exhibit will run through March 25th, 2017.  OHA would like to thank the Preservation League of NYS, Erin Tobin, Frances Gubler, and Dr. Harvey for their collaboration on this wonderful exhibit that highlights the history in our communities that so often goes unnoticed.

Below, you can read a message from the artist, Bruce Harvey.
