DESCRIPTION:The Cathedral Square Neighborhood Association and the Syracuse Chapter of the American Guild of Organists invite you and the community to join them as they present the 2018 Organ Crawl\, a Showcase of Sound and History on Sunday\, April 29 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The listening tour stars four locally and internationally renowned organists\, and four majestic church organs located within the Cathedral Square neighborhood of Downtown Syracuse. \nThis is a chance to hear the organs in a way you’ve never heard them before! \nAttached\, please find a press release with more details about the event. It’s also the first time since the Cathedral’s Roosevelt Organ has been featured since the sanctuary’s $12 million renovation\, just completed last year. \nThe Cathedral Square Neighborhood Association (CSNA) is pleased to announce that four of the area’s most accomplished organists will be playing: \n\nJoseph Downing\, Music Director at Plymouth Congregational Church\nAlan Lynch\, Interim Director of Music at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception\nJames Potts\, Organist and Choirmaster at St. Paul’s Syracuse The Downtown Episcopal Church\nWill Headlee\, Organist at Park Central Presbyterian Church\n\nEach organist will play for 25 minutes\, taking the audience through a symphony of sound\, showing off the organs in a way you’ve never heard before. Event organizers will lead the crowd to the second\, third and fourth stops along the listening tour. For planning purposes\, the churches are all located within a half-mile radius of one another. DESCRIPTION:We hope you’ll join our partners for the 2017 presentation of the Organ Crawl\, the signature event of the Cathedral Square Neighborhood Association\, on Sunday afternoon\, April 23\, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Three world-renowned organists will delight the senses by playing the majestic organs at Plymouth Congregational Church\, St. Paul’s Syracuse\, The Downtown Episcopal Church\, and Park Central Presbyterian Church. The listening tour will begin at Plymouth Congregational Church promptly at 1:30 pm\, and conclude with a reception at the Park Central Presbyterian Parish House at 3:30 pm. \nTickets may be purchased in advance (by clicking here or by calling Alice at 315-470-1953) for $12 until 12:00 noon on Thursday\, April 20. \nOn the day of the event\, tickets may be purchased with cash or check for $15\, prior to the start of the first performance at Plymouth Congregational Church. \nEach church will feature one organist\, who will play for 25 minutes\, taking the audience through a tour of musical selections.
