2019 OHA Medal Breakfast Honoring Syracuse Stage, Syracuse Regional Airport Authority, and Syracuse.com | Post Standard
May 9 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am$50 – $125
The 2019 Onondaga Historical Association (OHA) Medal will be awarded to Syracuse Stage, the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority, and Syracuse.com | Post Standard to recognize their outstanding and meritorious service to local history, and to the preservation and interpretation of the history of Onondaga County.
This year’s event will take place at the Grand Ballroom in the beautifully restored Marriott Syracuse Downtown (formerly the Hotel Syracuse) on Thursday, May 9th, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. The OHA Medal is the highest honor that this organization can bestow upon an individual for contributions made to the cause of preserving and interpreting our heritage. Since OHA is the largest and longest standing institution in this community devoted to conserving and presenting our history, one might also consider this medal the highest tribute that can be awarded on behalf of the entire Onondaga County community to those that ensure history remains a vital part of our future.
This is only the 22nd time the OHA Medal has been awarded since its inception in 1945. The OHA Medal is a two-sided, bronze piece struck in 1894 to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the founding of Onondaga County.
