OHA Bedtime Stories – James Pass

April 15, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Free

The father of American fine china, James Pass brings together science and art to create a versatile, useful china that has lasted 100+ years. Most people (at least in Central New York) can still look in their cabinets, flip over their plate and find that iconic Syracuse China logo. Learn how the Pass, a skilled potter and analytical chemist from Syracuse University, used a clay found in North Carolina to put America on the map in the international fine china scene. Eventually, Pass’s china was the best in the world and became a global brand, supplying embassies, hotels, railways, airlines, ocean liners, and more!

Tune in April 30, 2021 at 8:00 am on OHA’s YouTube channel, Facebook page, or Virtual Video page to listen to Gregg Tripoli, OHA Executive Director, tell the story of James Pass.
