Strides Toward Democracy Film Series: “Camp Syracuse”

Join us for Camp Syracuse, a special screening and lecture event presented as part of the Onondaga Historical Association’s Strides Toward Democracy film and discussion series, presented in partnership with Manlius Cinema. 
The film, shown alongside a lecture by OHA Curator of History Robert Searing, explores how Syracuse’s New York State Fairgrounds became a major training site for more than 40,000 soldiers in 1917 as they prepared for World War I. Together, the presentation brings this pivotal local history to life through both archival film and expert insight.
